California The State of California has established legislation imposing an electronic waste recycling fee for a sale made by a retailer to a consumer in the State of California for certain electronic items. Maine All waste computer monitors and televisions generated by households in Maine must be recycled. Please contact your local municipality for information about how and where to recycle your computer monitors and notebook PC's in your area. As a result of the new recycling rules the TCEQ has imposed, TriGem USA is offering a drop-off and mail-back program that meets the requirements of the Texas recycling requirements. The program is accepting all current and past Averatec branded PC's. To recycle an Averatec PC, you can drop-off your electronic waste to Asset Management & Services. Their location and hours of operation can be found at www.retirepc.com. If the drop-off location is inconvenient due to distance, you may contact our customer service department at (714)429-8999 to request a box with a pre-paid waybill sent to you so you can send the unit to be recycled. To find out more about Texas's e-waste and recycling laws, visit: http://www.tceq.state.tx.us Washington The Washington Department of Ecology finished adopting WAC 173-900 in 2007, requiring computer and television manufacturers to provide consumer-convenient recycling of their covered electronic products (CEPs) throughout the state beginning January 1, 2009. Covered electronic products are computers, televisions, computer monitors, and portable or laptop computers used by households, small governments, small businesses and charities. TriGem USA will be participating in the Washington State recycling program by financing its share of the recycling cost.
